How To Be Led By The Holy Spirit

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14) Sonship is obtained through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Bible also says “But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” (Galatians 5:18). To be led by the Spirit of God there are several things you need to bear in mind.

One of them is the voice of God. God’s voice is key to being led by the Holy Spirit. Now let me explain the above verse (Galatians 5:18) If you fail to hear God’s voice you may be a victim of the law. In other words, you are under the law and the Holy Spirit doesn’t have many places in you.

John says in one of his scriptures “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” (John 1:12) That means those with the Holy Spirit have power and they don’t use their own WILL POWER or any SELF-EFFORTS to advance in the things of God.

Once you’re led by the Holy Spirit you operate from a point of rest. So the question is how can I be led by the Holy Spirit? The first thing is to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. You need to be baptized by the fire of God. The moment the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you. You become a new creature

And one of the things he does to you is he gives you a SOUND MIND. This sound mind operates from a point of rest. There is so much peace. Such that from that peace he is able to speak to you and lead you.

Look at this scripture “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)

The renewal of your mind is done by the holy spirit and what happens is that you’re able to discern the will of God good and evil. As we walk in this world there are so many temptations. We need the Holy Spirit to guide us so that we do not fall.

He also says Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. (Romans 8:26) What you need to do is If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
